To be honest I get really bored with long winded reviews, call it lazy or call it stupid, I don't really care. Ok you caught me...I just can'ts writes me very goodz...

That being said, I just feel the need to tell you about one hell of a solid album. To me This Will Be The Death Of Us is what fans of Set Your Goals have been waiting for, this is THE album that we have wanted them to write after Mutiny. The term "Sophomore Slump" was not going to be included in the mention of Set Your Goals next effort and I think they have pulled it off. There were definite moments of brilliance to be found on Mutiny but I really feel as though This Will Be The Death Of Us is the vital but certainly not final piece to the puzzle. "Look Closer", "Summer Jam", "Like You To Me" and "The Fallen..." are easily some of the most entertaining and infectious pop-punk tunes that I have ever heard. Trust me, I was raised on this stuff. The melodies in the guitar leads are what really stick out to me and put a big ass smile on my face, but the dynamic between Matt and Jordan is really what the fans have come to love. They are nothing apart as they are together. Personally I cannot get these songs out of my head and Im willing to bet that you would have a hard time too. I will always have a soft, bloody, mushy part in my heart for the good old days of bands like Blink 182 and New Found Glory. Well guess what? Blink is back together and New Found Glory never left, in fact their latest album Not Without A Fight is hands down their best work since the Self-Titled and Sticks And Stones era. My point is that Set Your Goals has some big shoes to fill, but so far they're fitting in 'em just fine. You will always grow up to fit into "hand me downs", even if they were too big at one point in time.


Please note:
I feel like there is one thing that I just have to point out. The song "The Few That Remain" features Hayley Williams from Paramore and although it is a good song I just cannot help but feel embarrassed when she comes in. Is it just me? Maybe someone can help me figure out why I feel the way I do about it. Hayley Williams: "Wooah guys uhm, is it cool if I get in on this here?" SYG: (Hell yeah!) (Dude, go for it!) Hayley Williams: "Alright listen!" SYG: (Ohhhh). I really don't know what else to say other than I am embarrassed...kindof a lot.
