Fireworks

Marco Mendoza: If Fireworks were caught by cannibalistic people and needed to sacrifice one person ,who who would you consider the first to go? And why?

Chris Mojan: This is rough, not because of the offending members of my band possibility, but because of the thinking process. I'm assuming the question is asking who in the band could be sacrificed first... Well not Dave because the vocals are pretty important in being Fireworks, I write lyrics and are more involved in the writing process than Kyle and Brett but at about the same level as Tymm and finding a drummer is pretty hard. Brett writes a lot of leads and lyrics, more than Kyle, but Kyle handles a large business aspect of the band. I'd have to say Kyle in the squeeze.

Marco: Who would win in a fight Mel Gibson’s Character in “The Patriot” or Mel Gibson’s character in “Braveheart”?

Chris: I'd have to say Mel Gibson in Braveheart, assuming Mel Gibson in The Patriot doesn't have a gun. They both are fighting for their countries, but William Wallace is more pissed about it. Mel Gibson in The Patriot right after his son died would be another question though.

Marco: If you could summon, any cartoon character into the world to become your best friend to take on tour and hang with whom would it be and why?

Chris: I'd have to say Butthead because I feel like he has a lot of potential that he is just throwing away.

Marco: On your album called “All I Have to Offer is My Own Confusion” what song was the funnest to record? Which is your favorite song?

Chris: For myself I'd say Detroit. The riffing is fun and singing the gang vocals together at the end were hilarious to do. Every one kept running out of breath and felt like shit afterwards. Also, hearing everything coming together in that song was the most interesting. My favorite song on the record however is the last track. It just gets me.

Marco: I understand you're from Detroit……… how many people have you shot?

Chris: I'm actually from Livonia, MI which is 5 minutes from Detroit's city line, and about 20 minutes from Downtown, we were rated in the top 100 cities to raise a family a few years in a row. I've shot 1 person, and they didn't die.

Marco: Chris I've known you for a while and I'm just going to say you're probably one of the craziest dudes I know….. What kind of shenanigans are you getting into now of days?

Chris: I slept in a bed a priest usually sleeps in England and had to pee in his sink in the middle of the night since they love to have bathrooms in here with everything but a toilet in it. That wasn't too crazy, just more weird to think about.

Marco: Well since I love the song I just have to ask…. What’s some bad advice you have taken from your friends?

Chris: Well I'm 22, every one I know outside of touring is graduating college, getting married, being a real person etc and I'm sleeping in priests beds in England. I'm sure someone had to talk me into it.

Marco: What do you want fans to take from your music?

Chris: Having a good time listening and digesting it as a whole. Music, lyrics etc. Also, I'd like them to run into some of the lines we stole later on down the road and giggle.

Marco: This may be a hard question but do you remember your favorite show you guys played? Where and when was it? And why was it your favorite show?

Chris: My favorite show we've ever played was in Kyle's basement on his birthday June 2006. It was our first tour ever and we made some amazing friends, and had all of our old friends there singing along, being idiots and having a good time. Knowing that night can never be recreated is what makes it incredible.

Marco: Have you guys ever pulled pranks on any other bands on tour? What kind of pranks?

Chris: We always lie to bands we're on tour with. We usually never tell them the truth. Some pranks we've been apart of though is playing the intro to A Day To Remember's record in place of Four Year Strong's intro live in Denver, that was probably my favorite. I wanted to melt it was so awkward. Yes, I am saying that playing A Day To Remember's intro is embarrassing.

Marco: What are you views on vagiterianism (vegetarianism)?

Chris: I've been Vegetarian for 6 years now and it just makes perfect sense to me. I'm not one to decide who lives or dies by the masses.

Marco: Who would win in a footrace in your band?

Chris: Me or Tymm. I played soccer for like 10 years and I never lost it.

Marco: What is an album in your life has had the most influence in your life and creating music?

Chris: There's more than one. Picking just one just seems so one sided to me. I will say Blink 182's, "Dude Ranch" and Rancid's, "...And Out Come The Wolves" are what started it all for me. I saw Blink 182 playing "Dammit" on some MTV extreme sports show and liked the song so much that I listened to the lyrics and wrote them down so I could somehow figure out who it was. Now thats the only song I skip on that record haha. New records still influence me and the way I create music.

Marco: What is a "guilty pleasure" artist that you love and you just don’t know why?

Chris: Im usually pretty proud of anything I like. I will probably say the closest thing to a guilty pleasure I have though is Passion Pit because overall it seems so stupid and I hear they suck live but I still love it.

Pepsi or Coca-Cola? Coke

Pop or Soda? Pop all the way

Marco: Well dude it was great talking to you I hope you had fun answering these obscure questions, I hope your fans do as well. What are some Chris mottos you live by?

Chris: Baloni 4 Evaa
