I'm sitting at the TP tent in Hillsboro, OR about an hour away from our second Warped Tour '09 set.
The Gorge was incredible yesterday. Since seeing John Mayer there in the summer of '07, I've wanted to be a part of the legacy that is performing at The Gorge. I sat behind the bassist on the main stage for 3Oh!3's set, and can only think of a hand full of things I have witnessed that were more spectacular. One of them being the sunset that preceeded their show.
This whole process was really intimidating at first, having never been to a Warped tour before. The combination of constant lound music that I may or may not hate, dirt, heat, little sleep, and heavy lifting and/or pushing did not tickle my fancy. But so far I've had a great time, and look foreward to the discovery tomorrow brings!
I promised Kelly a while ago I would blog about all my guitar gear. With pictures and such. So keep a lookout!
