If you haven't already heard about it, some familiar faces in the Seattle local scene have recently started up an organization of sorts called "It's Your Scene" to help improve the local scene. As it's said in their blog, "IYS was started by a couple of musicians/music fans that are sick of seeing their local music scene continue to go down hill. From everywhere to the bands, fans, prices and everything else that "playing music" comes with these days. We feel that the real meaning of music is lost. The media and everything with it has ruined the art, meaning, passion, love and reason for listening and making music." They have t-shirts for sale which all of it's profits go towards paying bands and venues so that ticket prices stay down.

I first heard about this a while back through a friend that was involved, so I'm very excited about this!
