Ladies and gentlemen, I just downed a 5-hour energy, and my blogging brain is bursting with ideas. Luckily, I just finished editing my photos from last week's
Cage the Elephant,
Manchester Orchestra, and
Sleeper Agent show at Showbox Sodo--and as much as I would love to sit here and complain about how terrible the lighting was that night--I'm just going to cut to the chase.
Sleeper Agent opened the show with a solid performance, and--incidentally--the best lighting of the night was during their set. Way to build me up to break me down, lighting gods. I guess MO and CTE are just too cool for us lowly photo-bloggers. Oh well. I decided to use this show as my opportunity to "express my creative side" (ie use way too much Photoshop in an attempt to salvage a few photos), and.. well, I didn't get very creative.

And, of course,
Manchester Orchester--my most anticipated band of the night. These dudes put on an amazing performance and had me mesmerized. Would you check out that beard?

I tried to photograph
Cage the Elephant but singer Matt Shultz was too busy jumping all over the place for me to capture a moment. Instead, here's blur:

We left early due to the fact that I was exhausted having just finished college finals and all (woo!). Check out more photos on our
