Hello all, I've returned from the grave. My hands are bloody and my teeth are gone. I'm covered in dirt and I can't bear the sound of a human voice. I'm not here to kill, I'm here to talk to you about a band I've recently had the chance to enjoy.
This fine group of gentleman is known as
The National. Some of you may have heard of them, they have peaked on the billboard charts at #3 and I couldn't be happier for them. Unlike many indie webzines, we here at RCA don't believe in hating the popular. We enjoy tasteful music and quality sounds. We are not here to act cool or pretentious. We simply love music and we each have a different taste in it.
To continue, The National is an indie rock band hailing from Brooklyn. They carry a fairly distinct style of music topped with beautiful baritone vocals. They are not a new band either, they have been around making lovely music since 1999. They released their album
High Violet in May of 2010 and since it's release it has been getting quite the deserved attention. The album made it's way up to #3 on the charts, quite the success being next to Lady Gaga and others. Good music deserves to be successful, and I won't hate it for being so if it's tasteful. The National is just that. Give them a listen if you haven't already.
