There For Tomorrow @ El Corazon--June 30th, 2010

I was going to wait until a few more photos surfaced, but the ones I took will suffice for now. This was the first time I was able to use my 50mm f/1.4 USM lens at a show, and I can't even express in words how much of a difference it made--even WITH sand in the autofocus mechanism (don't ask), the photos looked at least five times better than the ones I have taken with my 50mm f/1.8. Maybe the $125 cleaning is worth it afterall... Moving on.

The El Corazon website lied and said that the show started at 8 when it really started at 7, so I missed the first band (The Material), and my memory card was full by the time Sing it Loud and Every Avenue played. You would think that I had learned these things by now, but next time I won't forget my backup CF card at home.

There For Tomorrow played a short but solid set starting at around 7:45. I guess Jay was having some technical problems with his bass, so they had to cut Burn the Night Away from the list. Regardless, I always enjoy TFT, and Wednesday night was no exception. Without further ado, I present to you the real reason you are here--the photos! Enjoy.

Oh hey, Jessie!

I see you too, Chris.

I got Maika's attention before their set so I could get a decent photo of him in the white light. He first gave me a suave look, and then he gave me a very sad looking middle finger. Adorable. Or something.
