Time Off (Sorry)

Sorry it's been so long.

Latest with me: Got done with an incredible headlining tour with This Providence about two months ago, and had an amazing time. Shows were a blast, kids were great. And to no surprise of ours, Seattle was the best way to end the tour. We played to a near sold out Showbox Market. The stage was bouncing so much from the movement in the crowd. My microphone stand was shaking- must have been quite a sight watching my mouth try and follow the diaphragm.

I had the pleasure of bringing my Dad's 1978 Yamaha SR2000 up for the show from Boise,(where we played the night before), which is a rare Gibson ES-335 knock off. It plays about 5,000,000 times better than a Gibson.
I also packed my custom made cabinet to run out of my Vox AC-15. It all sounded incredible if I do say so myself.
Now, as the band spends some time writing, i'm hanging at home, playing lots and lots of different kinds of music.
I've been playing an average of 3 jazz gigs a week, and spent this week recording and arranging a jazz/blues/R&B;EP. Producing is becoming my new favorite thing to do.

I had a chance to be on tour with OkGo for a couple days, and caught their shows in Portland and at Sasquatch. I have tremendously underrated that band for far too long. A very very very entertaining and unique show. The gimmicks were cool, and were totally backed by great musicianship. I may have accidentally try to kill Andy only minutes before the Sasquatch set, but thats a whole 'nother story.

The next few things in the calendar are a trip to Hawaii, the John Mayer/Keith Urban concert at the Gorge, and a set at Bumbershoot on September 4th.

Anyone going to Bumbershoot? Please come say hey!
