I usually don't openly support illegal downloading, but I think the time has come for me to say that anyone who tells you to purchase everything that you listen to is either a) a hypocrite, or b) 70 years old. I've been downloading music since the era of Napster, when it would take 3 hours to download one song on my crappy 28.8K connection. Those were the days--I really cherished every song I downloaded, from Samantha Mumba to LFO (hey, I was like 10 years old, okay?). Nowadays the only music I really purchase are albums from the bands I really love (e.g. Minus the Bear); typically I prefer to support artists by buying merch at shows, but I will buy CDs from local bands if given the chance.

Anyway, now that I've gotten THAT out of the way, it's time for me to talk about the most exciting news of the year: MINUS THE BEAR'S UPCOMING ALBUM, OMNI, HAS LEAKED.

Okay, it's not THE most exciting news of the year--the scheduled release date is only two weeks away--but it's pretty close.

Since I still feel pretty guilty about posting links to leaks, here's a link to listen to Secret Country, which is the third song off OMNI (and also my favorite track so far).
