Hooray! I literally just landed in San Diego, and it is a PERFECT 70 degrees outside. Jealous? Also, it's 10 AM and I have been awake for five hours now. My flight was at 7 AM, and the only sleep I got on the plane was quickly interrupted by the guy sitting next to me who just *had* to go to the bathroom after downing a cup of coffee. The nerve, right?
Anyway, I am sitting in the airport waiting for my friend to pick me up. I am staying with her for two nights at San Diego State University, then meeting up with my family from Wednesday until Saturday or Sunday. Hopefully my ghostly paleness doesn't cause any San Diego natives to pass out in fear/disgust, but I can't make any promises. Oh yeah, I also left my iPod headphones at home so I am using old school Sony CD player headphones, and I listened to
Freelance Whales for the duration of the 2.5 hour flight. HINT HINT, LISTEN TO THEM. They are great, which is probably why my
last blog was devoted to why they don't suck. A couple of solid tracks are
Broken Horse and
Generator ^ Second Floor.
Wow, a guy actually just announced over the intercom, "...someone left a garbage bag in the overhead bin.. please return to gate 17 if you lost your black garbage bag." There must be something very important inside that garbage bag if they had to make an announcement about it. Now I am curious.
I can already tell that this week is going to be fun.
