Guilty pleasures; a few reasons to question my existence.

Sometimes I wish I could post blogs and articles anonymously, because the things I post are mostly self-incriminating and probably make people wish someone would take away my ability to post things on public domains. Seeing as this is not possible, all embarrassing blogs posted on raincityambience.com will probably be from yours truly. And maybe Colleen once in a while (cough, CafeWorld, cough).

And so it begins:

Lady Gaga. There's really nothing that amps me up quite like lyrics that make absolutely no sense. "Rah rah ah ah ah roma ro ma ma gaga ooh la la," opens Lady Gaga's newest single, Bad Romance. Needless to say, this is my favorite song since Blue by Eiffel 65. I'm blue, da ba dee da be da da ba dee da ba da.. In all seriousness, when I listen to Lady Gaga I lock my door so my roommates can't come give me the stink eye, and I change my AIM status from showing what iTunes is playing to just saying that I am not listening to anything. Pathetic? I THINK NOT. Okay, maybe a little bit.

Farm Town. I hate Facebook games. For the most part. I already wrote a sarcastic blog about FarmVille, but I think that for a minute there I lost myself in Farm Town. *cue clip of Karma Police by Radiohead* I have since decided to reallocate my time spent on Farm Town to places such as, well, here, and I think I am back on track... For now...

Stupid celebrity gossip. WWTDD.com is one of my favorite websites (definitely NSFW, but hilarious nonetheless), because reading his celebrity news making me forget that I am indulging in reading celebrity gossip. It feels like I am reading about somebody making fun of current celebrity events while "coincidentally" becoming informed at the same time. Oops!

Neopets flash games. I played this website almost 10 years ago, which makes me feel really old, but I decided to retire once I realized everyone on the site was at least five years younger than me. Now I just go play the flash games. And sell stuff. And feed my pets. And train my pets... and... WHAT NOTHING I DIDNT SAY ANYTHING. Whew, almost blew my cover there.

Other things I am less secretive about, but should probably be considered guilty pleasures:

Paramore, Owl City, other artists of the same poppy-electronic nature, and... Ugg boots. This last item is a recent development. I swore that I would hate them until the day they died, but I finally gave in and got a pair for Christmas-- which is/was today. I haven't taken them off since I opened the box, and I think it is safe to say I am addicted to their warm fuzziness. Mmm.
