Last.fm vs. Pandora

Personally, I've only actively used Last.fm. I found this website on my own and it's grown from there. Basically, you download Last.fm player to your hard drive, it takes all your music (and it's plays) on your computer, loads it into this database, complies the data, and stores it. It then creates a radio station to what you already have on your computer. You can then tune into other radio stations related to artist or genres. If you're not on your main computer, you can go on your Last.fm site and listen to YOUR RADIO STATION that automatically loads.

Plus, it generates things like this:

"I'm into rock, emo, post-hardcore, indie and alternative, including:
Emery, Underoath, The Devil Wears Prada, Kelly Clarkson, Rascal Flatts, Shawn McDonald, Clay Aiken, Anberlin, Hawthorne Heights, Paramore, Amber Pacific, The Almost, Madison Drive, Plain White T's, Ryan Cabrera, Ashlee Simpson, Death Cab for Cutie, Hillsong, Number One Gun, Coldplay, Hilary Duff, Jump5, Gavin DeGraw, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Flyleaf, Good Morning Sunshine, The Killers, Moneta, Linkin Park, Stephenie Meyer, Vendetta Red, Bring Me the Horizon, Blindside, CKY, Queen, Against Me!, The Fray, Dance Gavin Dance, David Cook, Holyfield, Sigh As Men, Blake Lewis, Burning Tree Project, Third Day, Switchfoot, Hanna Ellis, Keith Urban, James Taylor, Dollface Divine, Norma Jean.

But, what is this Pandora thing? People keep talking about it. I haven't really actively used it yet. So tell me if it's better than Last.fm? Should i waste my time playing around with Pandora and leave Last.fm in the dust? Is it really all you think it is?

Tell me your thoughts...

Which is best: Last.fm or Pandora?
