Colleen's Top 5 Songs of the Week

So, Kelly texted me today asking me if i wanted to do my top songs of the week. I decided to post my playlist on my imeem account as well. BY THE WAY, all these songs posted are new-ish songs... except for one! I've been listening to a lot of new stuff to get inspired... to change... much like the leaves do in the fall!

1. Paparazzi [Acoustic version] - Lady Gaga
I've been listening to a lot of Lady Gaga since i was her for my Red Carpet themed Homecoming dance. This song is super catchy & attention grabbing. It's pretty epic acoustically. Lady Gaga is certainly talented lady.

2. The Only Exception - Paramore
Well, Brand New Eyes is only two weeks old now... and I am still not tired of it. This is probably the first genuine love song by this band i've really felt. Plus, it's my ringtone. That's probably the best publicity any band could do... let their ringtone just go off multiple times.

3. Words Written Over Coffee - The Riot Before
Honestly, I just heard about this band TODAY when i was searching for new acoustic music. I downloaded their free EP and quickly fell in LOVE with their Against Me! attitude. Plus, harmonicas rule, right?

4. Hands - the Almost
Oh, my musical boyfriend Aaron Gillespie has caught my attention once again. I played this song in a "study" group this afternoon. After i turned off the music & packed my things, my friends were humming the song. It could be passed as the Jonas Brothers, but the Almost actually has real talent.

5. Lets Go - Cartel
Oh, Cartel is that punch in your kool-aid water. I'm not sure what you know or don't know about these dudes, but there's something raw about their energy in this song. It's ok to dance around to this song... I know I do!

Bonus Song of the Week?
My friends Solfege Radio posted a new song on their myspace called Jersey in Denial. I really like it... AND, you can download it on iTunes today! The Solfege Radio boys have a new myspace layout and band promos up for you to see! Oh, how they've grown!
