Krochet Kids are going... Zumiez?

The past week has been a confusing one for me, the unfortunate Zumiez employee, who opens freight boxes hoping not to be surprised with a shipment of Ed Hardy or Affliction (Sidenote: This has yet to happen at my store, but I hear Alderwood Mall is a different story). Lately, though, I have been pleasantly surprised with the new things that have come in: Glamour Kills' new line, as well as a ton of breast cancer awareness merch, Spacecraft, Casual Industrees, etc.

AND NOW WE HAVE KROCHET KIDS.

Backstory: I met Kohl Crecelius (one of the founders of KK) at a With Honest Eyes show at the Olde Firehouse a couple of years back, and he was selling an assortment of beanies hand-crocheted by women in Uganda. The hats are sold in the United States, and the proceeds go back to Uganda to help the womens' village and encourage a cycle of economic development.

Intrigued by their story (read about it), I have been following Krochet Kids ever since, and I am ecstatic that they have worked out a deal with Zumiez. Check out the tees on the Zumiez website.

If you would rather purchase a shirt in person, here is a list of all stores carrying the products.

OR if you are interested in purchasing products directly from Krochet Kids, you can also check out their web store.
