So it has recently come to my attention that local Seattle natives, Amber Pacific, have brought back the infamous Matt Young.

In a post on Absolute Punk, it was announced that the band will be doing acoustic shows at local colleges. They have parted ways with Jesse Cottam, the singer who took Matt's place when he left in 2008. There is no mention of whether or not Davy Rispoli will be remaining with the band or not. We can only hope that this…

If you have seen MVM play before, then you now that the guys are great. They are sweet guys and are appreciative of their fans, and of Seattle. If you want to know more about them, check out my interview with them. It was a lot of fun talking with them.

I had never seen WCAR before this show; never listened to their music, never saw them play, and had only heard their name before. Man, was that a REALLY big mistake. These guys are awesome. If you have heard of them but never listened, then take my advice and get their music. It is great. Just look:

...and about 300 other REALLY sweaty people. Seriously, if you were there last Friday at El Corazon for this show, you know what I mean. I think I came out of the club 5 pounds lighter, and I drank so much water!
Despite the extreme heat wave that the club endured, it was an awesome show! I have only seen The Maine play once before, and that was at a huge event [JBB this past December] and I can say that I really do enjoy them live. They have an energy that I don't see very often…

If you haven't heard yet, Matthew Leone of Madina Lake was brutally beaten when he intervened in a domestic dispute. Nathan, the lead singer and Matt's twin brother, posted the following on their Tumblr earlier this month:

Another amazing show, and another amazing album. The Classic Crime have a strong fanbase here in their native Seattle, WA. They are one of my personal favorite bands, both on CD and live, and if you came out to their CD release show on April 6th then you know what I mean! Great guys, and great music.
