Take Action Tour raises over $60,000 for Driving for Donors

This was just to incredible to not blog about. Remember the photos of There For Tomorrow I took last week? Those were from the Seattle date of the Take Action Tour, which just wrapped up in Dallas a few days ago.

The impact of this year's tour:

• Over $60,000 raised to help further the mission of Patrick Pedraja and his organization Driving For Donors
• Over 30,000 fans in 31 cities proved that the world can be made a better place
• Tour reaches goal enlisting over 2010 fans to sign up for the National…

PHOTO POST: Take Action Tour 2010: There For Tomorrow @ El Corazon 2/24

Well, dudes and dudettes, I finally sucked it up and went to a show last night, but I could only stay for There For Tomorrow due to the fact that I had to study for the finance quiz I had this morning. To make up for the fact that I couldn't stay for long, I took 150 pictures of There For Tomorrow, and I put about 25 of them up on my Flickr. The lovely Jasenka Gracic's boyfriend tattooed the manager of the tour in the upstairs of the venue, but that's another story.

The lighting at El…

School Boy Humor: rising the pop-punk bar.

Back in October 2009, I went to a show at the Marlboro Rec Center in Marlboro, New Jersey as the photographer for Jersey Shows (not to be confused with Jersey Shore... there weren't any guidos to be found.) I was originally there to shoot for my good friends Solfege Radio. My camera died right after there set. BUMMER. I found an outlet near the door and sat for the next few bands. I heard Matt of Danimal Records say that the last band was about to hit the stage and I should take some photos, so I unplugged my charger,…

Just got back from the Mew show...

...I am speechless right now. That was definitely one of the best concerts I have ever been to, and certainly the best show I have been to in the past few years. The Danish know how to do it right!

I couldn't bring my camera, because Neumos' camera policy is that anything with a detachable lens is "professional" and not allowed. My phone died halfway through the Lonely Forest, so I couldn't even take pictures with that. I'm sure something will surface on YouTube within the next day (or hour), so those will be linked to when I find them.…

Anarbor and Lydia, October 16th @ El Corazon

I got a new 50 mm lens for my camera (my other one broke), and I thought the Lydia show would be a perfect place to break it in. Unfortunately, as you probably know if you have ever tried taking pictures at El Corazon, the venue's lighting is really bad, but I did what I could.

He is We was almost done with their set when I got there, so I didn't get to take any photos of them. Maybe next time.

Anarbor was after He is We. I'd never heard them before, but I liked them! They definitely had…

The Sky Electric and Hexxus - August 5th @ El Corazon

Like I said before, we are going to start covering more shows, and apparently Hexxus are our guinea pigs. Oink oink! Or maybe it's squee squee? BREEEEE.

Anywho, the show was awesome. It was the Sky Electric's first time playing in Seattle, and they killed it. Not to mention my favorite photo from the night was of their frontman, Cory. ;D Check the full blog and you can see for yourself.

We'll start the coverage off with a photo of Jessie, pointing. Oooh...

And the line..

Just a little…
