Take Action Tour 2011 = success!

I'm always a little skeptical of tours nowadays. Over time I have found that tours has one of two things happening: either all of the bands aren't my cup 'o tea and I end up very bored, or every band is amazingly mind-blowing and not a single person is having a bad time. Thankfully last night the band situation stayed in the realm of the latter. Although only a little over 200 tickets pre-sold, El Corazon started to fill up just before Bayside went on, only to half way empty just before Silverstein took the stage.

I can't…

Re:creations dropping TONIGHT at midnight!

There For Tomorrow's newest EP, Re:Creations, drops tonight at midnight, and I highly recommend you head on over to iTunes and purchase a copy (or five).

To say I am fond of this album is an understatement. I've only had the songs in my iTunes library for about two weeks, and the play count on each track is actually a little embarrassing. (Seriously though, I don't think it's actually possible for someone to listen to seven songs 300+ times each in such a short period of time. My phone must have taken the liberty of…

There For Tomorrow @ El Corazon--October 6th, 2010

Well everyone, I took photos of There For Tomorrow at El Corazon again. This must be some kind of record; I haven't taken this many pictures of a single band since the days of bi-weekly From Aphony shows at KTUB. Did I mention that TFT is from Florida and only play here a few times a year? Maybe that's a sign that I should start attending more shows.

I wasn't sure about about the lineup of this tour at first, but my skepticism melted away once Tommy & the High Pilots took the stage. None of…

There For Tomorrow @ El Corazon--June 30th, 2010

I was going to wait until a few more photos surfaced, but the ones I took will suffice for now. This was the first time I was able to use my 50mm f/1.4 USM lens at a show, and I can't even express in words how much of a difference it made--even WITH sand in the autofocus mechanism (don't ask), the photos looked at least five times better than the ones I have taken with my 50mm f/1.8. Maybe the $125 cleaning is worth it afterall... Moving on.

The El Corazon website lied and said that the show…

Also, the guys will be playing tomorrow night at El Corazon with Sing it Loud, Every Avenue, and The Secret Handshake. We will be there (possibly doing a followup interview with TFT) so you should proooobably come down and hang out. It'll be a good time.

Have you heard of Anarbor?

Oh you haven't? I'm going to let you in on a little/medium/venti secret: Anarbor.

Anarbor is a group of friends from Phoenix, Arizona who make shradical tunes. They fall into the pop rock genre, but they definitely have their own psychedelic spunk. Their record The Words You Don't Swallow is out in stores on 4/20. Yeah, 4/20. Celebrate. I highly recommend you mark your calendars for this one and say hello to your new favorite band.
