New Minus the Bear album LEAKED!



I usually don't openly support illegal downloading, but I think the time has come for me to say that anyone who tells you to purchase everything that you listen to is either a) a hypocrite, or b) 70 years old. I've been downloading music since the era of Napster, when it would take 3 hours to download one song on my crappy 28.8K connection. Those were the days--I really cherished every song I downloaded, from Samantha Mumba to LFO (hey, I was like 10 years old, okay?). Nowadays the only music I really purchase are albums…

It's been awhile since I have seen a band/label get so involved with promoting an album over two months before its scheduled release, but in this case I'm definitely not complaining.

You can now pre-order Minus the Bear's OMNI on Amazon. You can also play an OMNI-themed game of Simon Says (AKA Omni Says) on the Minus the Bear website, and let me tell you: It's addicting.

As promised, Minus the Bear's upcoming album information PLUS a bonus rant about.. American Eagle?



Minus the Bear's album, titled OMNI, will be released on May 4th by Dangerbird Records (information about the signing can be found here). The record was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, My Morning Jacket), and the band will embark on a 6-week tour on April 21st. Dates have not yet been announced.

In other Minus the Bear news, their song Broken China, will be on an American Eagle/Filter Magazine compilation album that will raise money to help support Haitian earthquake victims. You can buy this album now through March 19th (while…

Minus the Bear have signed to Dangerbird Records



Minus the Bear, AKA my favorite band in the entire universe, just signed a contract with a new label (farewell, Suicide Squeeze), and will be releasing their upcoming album with Dangerbird Records (Silversun Pickups, The Dears). Read the label's press blog post below.
